   Provide indexed folders/notebooks for important papers  (no charge)

   Provide indexed  folder for all the move documents  (no charge)

   Provide US Post Office Moving Packet  for address changes  (no charge) or

        we can process all known address changes  
   
SPACE PLAN FOR NEW HOME   
   Taking too much??  We help in this common dilemna.  
   Space Plan - Floor and Furniture Plan for New Home  
       We help you in this decision and provide some guidelines  
   Leaving Ceremony:  Conduct a ceremony to honor memories of your home

SORTING   (called RIGHT-SIZING)   
   Assist with decision-making as this is the most difficult step  
   Divide into "do-able" steps and assist you  
   Do you want us to do all the sorting, with you sitting in an easy chair supervising?  
   Do you wish to be involved in the sorting?   Either way, we do the physical labor.  
   
DISPOSITION OF ITEMS NOT MOVED  
  Arrange for Relatives/Friends to pick-up items you are sharing or ship items   
  Auction or Estate Sale or Donate to Charity?  
     Appraisals:  arrange for appraisals of valuble jewelry, art, antiques  
     Either we conduct this or hire an auction company, depends upon amount  
  Donations:  Arrange for your favorite charity or charities to pick up  
        We provide a receipt and photos for tax purposes  
  Remove any remaining, unusable items  
   
HOUSE CLOSURE  
   Assure house is secure  
   Trash Pick-Up:  We arrange for final trash pick-up  
   House Cleaning:  We arrange for final house cleaning (you pay the cleaner)  
   Landscape Maintenance:  Arrange for any needed landscape (you pay)  
   Turnover to Relative, Manager or Realtor  
   
MOVE MANAGERS  
   Plan a timetable for the move  
   Assure your insurance policy covers items in transit  
   Activate all services for new home (keys, phone, utilities, cable, etc.)  
   Deactivate all services (cable, phone, utilities) for present home  
   Liaison with new home Intake Manager (for any special arrangements, parking, etc.)  
   Arrange for a Moving Company of your Choice or Ours (you pay mover)  
   Liaison with Moving Company  (any last-minute changes p reconfirm arrangements)  
   Note:  Any items not disclosed to moving company and added later will increase  
             the cost even if you have a binding contract with company.  
   Number and Label all boxes and containers  
   Make a last-minute check to assure no items missed ( all closets, cabinets,    
        garage and storage areas)  
   Moving Day  
        Packing - Packing for the first-night needs and any last-minute packing   
        TLC is present on moving day  (you need not be present)  
        We assure mover places furniture where you want it positioned  
        We count boxes to assure all have been received  
        TLC unpacks kitchen, bath, bedroom items for your first night  
            (make the bed, set-up kitchen and bathroom)  
        TLC assures there is a clear  traffic path and lighting for your first night  
        We unpack other items and organize as quickly as possible  
        Set-up electronic equipment or schedule a technician   
        We hang pictures (or we can arrange for a decorator to assist you)  
        Remove all packing materials and moving boxes  
   
POST-MOVE  
   Senior Friendly:  We make recommendations for any senior friendly adjustments   
     New Home Ceremony:  TLC will conduct a Welcome to New Home

No Charge

   Follow-Up:  Sue and/or Virginia visit you within the first two weeks to   
     assure you are "getting settled in"   
   
ANY ADDITIONAL SERVICES YOU DESIRE  
  MEDIATION  
     If conflicts arise among family members, TCL has conflict resolution skills

ADDITIONAL, SEPARATE POST-MOVE SERVICES   
    CLIENT ADVOCATE   
    To give out-of-town relatives peace-of-mind,  arrangements can be made for TLC   
    to visit you on a regular basis to check on services provided, acting as a client     
    advocate, and run any necessary errands.
